This wonderful four piece mahogany Chippendale style bedroom set that dates from the 1940s.This beautiful set consists of a full size pineapple poster bed, a tall gentleman s chest, a low ladies chest, and a beautiful Chippendale style wall mirror. The set is in solid mahogany and the dark reddish brown stain finish. The hardware on the two dressers are very similar, but do not match exactly. The set has carved columns coming down the two dresser pieces, fluted columns on the bed, and a beautiful broken arch with flame finial on the wall mirror. The overall size of the ladies low dresser is 43.5 inches wide, 20.5 inches deep, 36.5 inches high.

The drawers are all raised panel bevel edge and dove tail. The dresser has two small drawers above three large drawers. The base is a Chippendale Queen Anne pad foot with a carved crest in the bottom skirt, and carved columns coming down the corners. The next item is the broken arch plain finial wall mirror. The overall size is 22.5 inches wide and 43 inches tall. It is in the original dark reddish brown stain finish with the cutout pieces of fretwork on all four corners. The fretwork is all intact. The mirror has the broken arch molded top with the flame finial in the center. The looking glass is all original.

I have the same bed frame, with two matching dressers with the same pineapple column design. I am looking for another tall gentleman's chest. Do happen to have any information on where I might be able to find one? The one I have is 49" tall with 5 full drawers and 2 small side by side drawers. Please let me know if you have any information on where I could find one.
